Well, true to our plan we did get out on the playa a bit before 8 this morning. A lovely, breezy day. As we trod the pathways down to the beach, we were amused to confirm that the "covered pool" meant placing yards and yards of wide bubble wrap overnight on the heated half of the pool.
The beach was lovely and the ocean roaring in, but the sand was very soft and we got our heart rates up rapidly. A pair of little white dogs romped over to greet us at one point, their owner being quite relieved that we were happy to see them too.
We came back for breakfast, and reminded ourselves of the several unanswered questions we had to resolve. And came up with a plan for our translation-editing service: have the service desk lady do her own corrections, we'll do ours, and the compare the two efforts. We ARE a teacher's kids, no help for it!
Later we found the little store, much better-stocked than some we've seen, and invested in two tokens to do our laundry. Coming back to the room, we discovered the first of what would turn out to be a steady parade of towel origami ... we may just have to take the class.
Having agreed on a time for dinner, Linda & Claudette went out for some breezy rays while I settled in to accomplish more of my massive reading assignments ... and get dinner underway later in the day.
Soft tacos with mole, along with the cactus salad (including festive radish rose!) made a pleasant dinner, and the sea breeze and sunshine made for an early bedtime ... yet again.
